FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR COVID-19 PRACTICES

We have a few options for reservations:

  • So that we can safely accommodate guests, we welcome you to stay with us for 75 minutes and our maximum group size is 4 people. 
  • Tasting Room reservation times (Year round)
  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:00, 12:30, 2:00 or 3:30
  • We have 4 tables available in the tasting room which are all spaced over 2m apart
  • Santa’s Wineshop reservation times (*December only)
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:00, 12:30, 2:00 or 3:30
  • Cozy up in Santa’s Wineshop fireside with a glass of wine and capture a holiday photo in Santa’s sleigh
  • We have 3 tables available in the tent which are all spaced over 2m apart
  • This outdoor tent is available for private rental (10 people maximum)
  • Outdoor wine patio reservation times (Year round)
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:00, 12:30, 2:00 or 3:30
  • Embrace Canadian weather and sit fireside with a glass of wine wrapped up in a cozy blanket. Dress for the weather!


NEW* COVID-19 Protocols:

  • When you arrive, please join us through the front entrance of the winery, where we ask all members of your party to sign in.
  • Hamilton Public Health now requires all guests to answer a Covid-19 screening questionnaire.
  • Face coverings are required except when eating and drinking.
  • According to our current public health requirements, we are allowed to have 8 people +2 staff (10 people in total) in both the winery and Santa’s Wineshop at a time. We are permitted 25 people outside on our outdoor wine patio.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for you at the entrance, exit and wine bar.
  • Please do not switch tables and chairs 
  • We will be cleaning and sanitizing the tables and chairs between each use
  • We will be cleaning and sanitizing payment terminals after every use
  • The washroom is available inside the winery (1 person at a time) 
  • Please, no outside food allowed
  • As we progress into the cooler weather embrace Canadian winter with us and bring a cozy blanket and warm winter gear!


DO YOU TAKE RESERVATIONS?

Yes, we recommend that you make a reservation for our outdoor wine patio if you would like to guarantee a table. Only 4 people can be seated together at this time.

 

DO YOU HAVE TASTINGS INDOORS?

Yes! We do have very limited seating in our tasting room. Reservations required please! Our maximum number of patrons indoors is currently 10 and you will be able to stay for 75 minutes.

 

DO YOU SERVE FOOD?

We don’t have a restaurant at Ridge Road, but we do offer a boxed "Lunchable” for 2 people. A snack box of cheeses, meat, crackers, nuts, hummus, guacamole, compote, crackers and chocolate. Vegetarian & gluten options available. *reservations recommended*. We also offer packaged snacks such as kettle chips and peanuts.

 

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD TO EAT ON THE PATIO?

No, unfortunately we do not allow any outside food or drink.


DO YOU OFFER WINE TASTINGS?

Yes! You choose a selection of 4 wines (1.5oz each) served on a wooden board with a light prepackaged snack 

 

IS YOUR WINE PATIO OPEN ALL YEAR?

You bet! A little Canadian weather won’t stop us! We have patio heaters and firepits throughout the wine patio for all guests to enjoy. Please dress for the weather and bring your cozy blankets! If you forget your blankets we have some available.

 

IS YOUR WINE RETAIL SHOP OPEN ALL YEAR?

Yes! During the winter months our retail store is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00-5:00.

 

DO YOU HAVE CURBSIDE PICKUP?

Yes! Visit our online store to place your order for “self-pickup”  from Thursday-Sunday 11-5 or call during our retail business hours to place your order and arrange payment and a pickup time.

 

DO YOU OFFER WINE DELIVERY?

“Call Me A Cab” wine delivery at your service! Visit our online store to place your order. FREE local delivery daily and free shipping within Ontario on 6 bottles or more.  


ARE YOU DOG-FRIENDLY?

Absolutely! We love your furry friends and they’re always welcome at the winery. Please ensure that your dog is leashed at all times

 

COVID-19 PRACTICES (UPDATED: NOVEMBER 6, 2020)

This is certainly a strange time and we are all trying to adapt to our new “normal” Here are a few things we are doing to ensure our guest experience at Ridge Road is both pleasant and safe.

·      Hand sanitizer will be available for you at the entrance, exit and wine bar. Please apply sanitizer upon entrance.

·      We require all guests to sign in upon entrance please (contact tracing)

·      Only 4 people can be seated at the same table at this time

·      We will be cleaning and sanitizing all tables and chairs between each use in the tasting room and on outdoor wine patio

·      We will be cleaning and sanitizing payment terminals after every use

·      Please wear your masks at all times unless seated at your table (all of our staff will be wearing masks at all times)

·      Please do not switch tables or move furniture
